Awaken Access

Grief does not follow a schedule. It gives no warnings, or ask permission to arrive. Whether you are navigating the loss of a person, relationship, an animal companion, or a version of life you thought you would have, I am here to traverse forward with you.

My name is Alexis. As someone who has encountered grief in many forms, I bring both lived understanding and evidence-based methods such as EMDR to help you process loss.

I am currently completing my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, training in EMDR under clinical supervision, and building toward full licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Therapist.

About Me

"Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in."

— Leonard Cohen, Anthem

My Approach

My interest centers on life transitions, death, loss, and grief, and I draw on EMDR and somatic techniques to support that work. EMDR helps your brain reprocess memories that are caught in an eternal loop, easing their hold so they no longer feel as raw or relentless. Somatic techniques may include guided meditation, imagery, breath, and body-based awareness to help you settle your nervous system, process what you are carrying, and reconnect with a greater sense of steadiness and presence.

Whatever brought you here, the death of a loved one, the loss of a companion animal, or a life that no longer looks the way you expected, my goal is to offer you clear, practical, and compassionate support through this process.

"Wherever you are, there you are,

but perhaps the real question is:

where do you go from here?"
